Anybody running headers on a 4.0L? If so any problems with bolts backing off, or blowing gaskets. What's the best headers for the 4.0L.

Idk but google works great. I would get some if my engine didn't have 205k miles. There's shorty headers, I hear people say good for stock replacement. An long tube for more performance. But that's only what I read. I'm no expert.

I had Borla's until they cracked the collector on the drivers side.

The leak was aimed directly at the firewall so it was kinda loud.

I have a set of coated Heddman's (thanks Bird!) but I haven't installed them yet.

If installed properly, you shouldnt have any of those issues with headers. (the collector crack is something else entirely, problem with their build is my guess)

But Mac makes a good affordable set of long tubes and shorties. I had them on my 3.8, long tubes and offroad h-pipe. I would push them on anyone.

On the other hand It was my understanding that our stock manifolds were a header style build anyways, which will minimize gains by aftermarket, it will however improve sound.
