I built it this morning , just thought I would try to make a canoe/all purpose rack for my truck . The back part will be removable , I still gotta look at it and see what all needs to be changed but for the most part it is done.

I don't think it will cost to much $80. at the most .

I almost put expanded metal in mine, but I figured it would be hard to see through.

I like how you did your lights . The expanded isn't so bad to see through . What type of lights did you use for your centre brake lights looks good .

towtruck , where are you from , would you be willing to make another one like it , i have been looking for one for a stepside and can find one

and where did you get those rebel decal's

looks good to me, I need to make one similar to that

I used Trucklite's 33 series for the 3 clearance lights in the middle, they are a single LED. They kind of hard to find, NAPA wanted like 75 for three. I went to a local heavytruck supplystore and got them for 10 a peice with the rubber grommets. I used trucklite model 60 LED 6" ovals for the brake/turnsignal/clearance lights

What size box tubing did you use for the back rack? The 33 series only require a 3/4" hole.

thanks , I'll have to check out our heavy duty truck and trailer shop here . I used 1.25" square aluminum tubing . I just picked up some flood lights for the rack .
I'm in saskatchewan and the company I work for likes to let staff build for there own use but kinda doesn't like us building to sell to others outside of work . I can give you all the dimensions for it if you want ? I took about three hours to lay it out and build .

I wish I had the money for a spool gun, and then I could of made mine out of aluminum. Did you TIG or MIG your toolbox?

I was thinking about puting some backup/cargo lights on mine aswell, but I never got that far.lol.

Tool box was tacked with a mig and then tig welded , was my first time tig welding aluminum . I used our mig to do the rack it is one of those push pull set-ups worked good but I can't compare it to any other type cause it was my first time using that as well . I only do the fabrication at work and someone else does the welding .

if you could give me the dimensions that would be fine , i can do the welding , i just need the measurements of everything

I will get them to you tomorrow , the paper with the numbers is in my toolbox at work .
