Building a '94 4.0 off of a ford motorcraft short block. Need to find a machine shop that will do the head work in the central Texas area. Have had someone check several in the Austin area and they will all do new guides, cut 2 angle valve job. No one wants to do new valves, springs and keeps. That makes no sense to me. After 189,000 miles of up and down? :icon_confused:
Since I'm building everything new, now is the time. Surely some of you Texans in here got to know someone that'll dip, magna flux for cracks, cut 3 angle, install new; guides, valves with lap, springs and keeps? I know it's a 4.0l and it's going to cost. Hell I'm alreayd over a grand with incidentals, block, water pump, electric fan kit, motor mounts, oil pump, lifters, push rods, rockers, blah blah blah.
Who's the man, or shit now a days might be the woman, doing the head work?
I know Tom Morana does but we don't even want to discuss shipping from Texas to Ontario, Canada.:shok:
