Head Gasket? Air Pocket or bubble? or something else?

When this happened to me I bought some... Mechanic in a bottle, like Bars-leaks for headgaskets or something. I was in college and had no access to a garage. I put about 10K more miles on the beast before the headgasket(s) went again. I know most people are against this kinda stuff but it actually did work for me, but it was because I needed it. It was a nice crutch because I had no money, etc, so I knew it was a problem and I could start saving for it. After it went again coolant DID go into the oil, so I just got a whole new engine.
Sorry man! I feel your pain!

You are incorrect! The bottom hose has coolant in it that has been thru the radiator and xhould be near air temperature. The top hose should be near the thermostat temperature... 195*..

What if the thermostat is located in the (bottom radiator hose) such as in the case of 2.8 V6? Would the top rad hose still be hotter than the bottom?

Nope! You should be able to figgure that out by yourself..
