head fitment?

ok just picked up a 97 2.3 with a cracked head. i have acess to a 90-92 head that is guarnteed good. will it work? please someone answer this asap. i need to drive the truck tomorow, afternoon. thanks a billion

No,it will not work.The older head has different mounting for the coil/alt bracket and the older head has a water jacket port that would be uncovered by the 97 intake.It will bolt onto the block.you will need a 95-00 head
