Hazards stop blinking

On a 1992 Ranger, are the hazards suppose to stop blinking when the brakes are depressed?

Mine do and that doesn't seem right? What could be a possible cause for this situation.

I also noticed another issue tonight. My drivers side brake light wasn't working, so I checked the bulb and it was good. Turn signals work fine. When you turn the passenger side blinker on, the drivers sisde brake light doesn't work. However, once you turn the drivers side blinker on the brake light works fine. Could all these problems be tied to the multi-function switch?

Any ideas on this anomoly?

Thanks - Jeff

On vehicles with four wire rear ends the hazards stop blinking, that's normal. Five wire rear ends are a different story.

The other thing does sound like an issue with the multi function switch but check it first.

yes, they stop blinking.
