Hey all ,,, hope everybody has been having a great summer so far , doing a ton of mudding , fishing , and R&R ,,,, and just generally having a good time .
I picked up a scrap mid 90's Cougar RX 7 , and was wondering if anyone ever tried a 4.6 L swap into a Ranger ????
Give me all your do's and don'ts ...... :icon_thumby:

Been covered a few times. Some info in the tech section. Its just overall bigger and heavier harder to come by. Every one says to do a 5.0.

bigger heavier and a lot more modifications to make it fit, ESPECIALLY in a i-beam Ranger. Not really worth it unless its a DOHC all aluminum 4.6 in my opinion.

Its XR-7 btw, an RX-7 is a Mazda.

I have a 4.6 2wd Ranger that I got through this site and I love it. Makes a lot of power and torque and the motor is easy to work on. My .02
