A station wagon camper??

I came across this 1965 Totemotel Wagon Camper on Facebook Marketplace. According to the seller:

"Extremely rare, 1960's Station Wagon Camper. Works on station wagons and other vehicles! *Only weighs 400 lbs! Please review the entire listing if you're interested in the camper. More pictures and video available, if you're seriously interested. You probably have never seen one of these before and probably won't see another for sale. These campers are just so cool and well thought out. I'm 6'3 and I can stand up in it! It is 14ft x 6ft x 6ft and camper. It's got a lot more room than you would think! The bunk or loft area can fit up to a KING size bed! There is a large storage area at the end of the bunk. It's got a sink with shore water faucet AND also a gravity feed faucet and the water tank was in the very front of the sleeper. Has a 2 burner, propane cooktop and a built in cooler/icebox that could easily be removed and a fridge put in. I was going to put a compost type toilet in the side storage area and was going to put a shower pan on the floor and add shower curtains to be able to shower. It has a closet, along with upper kitchen cabinets for storage. A small propane tank goes in the small aluminum door on the outside and the connections are already there. Needs some work here and there but minor. Needs some floor repair and this was another reason why I was going to put a shower pan there and fiberglass it in and to be able to shower! But it's not a huge project and wouldn't take much to make it spectacular! *For the listed price, I am INCLUDING the trailer, since it is set up to hold it. No title for trailer but has new lights, good wood, tires are ok. Possible delivery for a fee. *Camper and transportation fee would have to be paid up front before delivery. I had driven from Texas to Iowa and back to pick it up! That's how rare they are! I've only seen one other one that sold and it went for over $5,000 and it was in extremely rough shape. *Could probably adapt it for a modern wagon or SUV as well. *Or leave it on the trailer and build it in. Feel free to ask questions if interested. OBO

Thats insanely cool and no i havent seen one before.

A year or two ago i posted up a cadillac (1970 maybe?) that served as the basis for a camper (think class C motorhome but on a caddy chassis)...but it wasnt a add on like this

Definitely different. I can see how the station wagon would get overloaded pretty quick.

Never seen one...
but I really like the wagon in the first pic. Looks like a '65 Impala with a 327...

Those wagons could haul/pull more then alot of the trucks back then.

Saw that at a car show a few years ago... Good Guys in Des Moines if I remember... pretty cool set up

Neat concept.
The driving compartment does not have doors, and also a bench seat. Driver and passenger must clime over the bench.
when camping is it not acceptable to climb over someone?? :yahoo:

quite unusual to see a Buick used for custom work.
