Ever now and then I push in the clutch and the motor stays reved up (my foot is off gas pedal)and I have tried tapping the gas pedal to get it unstuck but it just revs higher any ideals or anyone ever had this problem. How do I fix ???

I would start by checking the cable on the throttle body and in the engine compartment, make sure its not binding on anything, also where it goes through the firewall

The cable tends to bind up in the small plastic housing it passes through right before the throttle body. Try spraying some lithium grease in there and work it in and out.

I've had this happen on a number of Fords.

Thanks Guys .I will give this a try

when I get home this afternoon !:yahoo:

I have had the same problem and so have others in this forum. It is a dirty MAF sensor or something like that. Is this condition when you have the A/C on? I would push in the clutch and the engine would rev to about 3k rpms. Other people on the forum here have said to clean the mass air sensor off and it will take care of the problem.

Na, sounds mechanical. Check the linkage and cable routing. Might even pull your intake tube and look over the butterfly in the throttle body. If you can't find any mechanical problems, look at the IAC.
