When you pull the tranny and replace clutch, throw out, flywheel and rear main, and then all of a sudden, 2000 miles later the oil pan gasket, oil pump seal, and filter adapter all start leaking....

I made a basket that I fill with kitty litter that I bungied up to the frame rails.

I may leak, but i don't drip.

If any one is interested, the basket is quite easy to make haha

Not really but I’d have to say replace your pcv valve. Make sure the grommet and hose are in good condition. Also make sure breather tube is hooked up and that it flows.

Yeah those all check out, I was tryin' to make a funny about seemingly unrelated things causing one another

She's just old girl that needs a full set of gaskets and seals haha

I can decide if I wanna pull the engine this summer and give 'er some fore play and good once over.

You should have pulled the engine and done all that while the trans was out. You already had 3/4 of the work done.

Oh I know.... I was on a Saturday only deadline and more concerned with the task at hand at the time.

Also, I'm battling the whole "if I pull the engine out, I should rebuild it" and with my luck, a "simple" rebuild will end up not so simple. Broken bolt, drop something and it breaks, etc.

I know this has been talked about, is it easier in the grand scheme to pull and install the engine and trans as a whole?
