Has Anyone Heard Of This? Scam?

I dont know about the "hole" part but indexing plugs has been done for many years, its not a superstition or a theory. I read about it in "How to Hotrod Small Block Chevys" and the one on big blocks. The guys who win races are the ones who pay attention to details. Indexing may only add a small amount of power but if you keep adding little bits of power here and there it will add up. In the books I read if I remember right it said to point the plug gap at the exhaust valve.....I forget why,its been many years since I read it.

It's not superstition or theory.

It's hocus pocus.

I laugh when I go to the parts store and see all those really expensive plugs that claim to produce bigger sparks and make more power and stuff... This is kinda like that, but AllanD does have a point... I doubt it actually would make much of a difference though... Making sharp edges give the charge a place to build up...

I don't see why you have to bend the ground electrode. If you are good, you can drill through it directly above the center electrode and dimple it in one straight shot. The ground electrode will act as a guide too. Think about how hard it could be to dimple a small round piece of very strong material with out some kind of micro punch or something to guide it. Doing this on a mill would be a good idea. Wondering bits suck! Not to mention that if it does wonder and slip off, the bit could bind on the inside of the plug and more then likely break. Buy extra bits if you do decide to try it.

I think for the center electrode is drilled with a bigger bit than the hole thro the ground one
