it happened pulling out of my garage.. i had to use a prybar to pop it back up. i read on pirate that u measure the flat length of springs - shackle length + 1/2" = the distance from bolt hole to bolt hole on the 2 hangers. so 63"-4.5"+1/2"=59". they are currently at 60.5" which is what i got from following the tech write-ups on here. 59" seems kinda short to me.

why has nobody else had this problem?

Because you need to move your front spring hanger 6 inches forwards.....

Maybe the springs you used are longer/shorter than chevy 63's?

60.5" doesn't seem long enough?

I believe you need the longer shackles to make it work as advertised. If you pick up belltech 6400s it will fix the problem with it goin back too far. you just need a bit more angle for them to work with. I also realized your shackles are backwards. if you dont want to get the new longer shackles just turn your shackles around and that should fix it for a bit because of the angle in the shackle itself. I know it doesnt look right but it is.

What year of chevy spring did you use? Got more pictures of the complete set up?

You do not need the longer shackles to make it work at all....

Nor does the orientation of the shackles matter...I have one goin each direction on my truck...

the springs are procomp 5.5 lift springs from a early 90's model 1500. i moved the front hanger forward 6". the springs are backwards from what they are supposed to be for the stock ranger. (i flipped them around to move my axle forward so i could use the stock driveshaft, only about a 2" difference. works perfect) the stock 2" blocks are on until i lower the front a few inches.

I almost ordered 64 inch chevy springs. 32x32 2.5 wide. They said correct year butlength was different. It said one side was short side other was long side but both sides were 32 inches long from eye to end or spring.

Fun in the mud, those fenders look nice, what paint did you spray your truck with? I'm about to buy an air compressor and thinking hvlp gun as people say it's the best. I'll have to build a tarp kind of garage to paint it without wind lol.

And many as photos show run those springs with shorter shackles. I've heard of people snapping belltechs going off roading. But that might have been from weird flex angles...

the paint is a satin black with a flat clear coat rattle can i got from walmart. its all in how you paint it. if its done right a rattle can paint job can look just as good as a pro job. i used to work in our local ford body shop so i have a little experience painting. it turned out great. just take your time prepping it and make even passes while painting. the biggest mistake people make is holding the gun/can too close to the work, causing runs and tiger stripping.

the springs measure 63" and they are the stock shackles.

That might be where your issue is (most people use stock C1500 springs)

A longer shackle (BellTech 6400 or similar) should stop that from happening.

You drove it with no diff cover on your axle?:icon_confused:

Ya I just noticed that the diff. cover is gone too, but you beat me to it.

actually i think more noticed. we just knew it was off to do something to.
