Harmonic Balancer wont budge

I have a 93 Ranger 4.0 2WD. I am trying to replace the timing cover gasket. The center bolt on the harmonic balancer came right out. The problem is that when I use the puller, it won't budge. I think someone screwed up the threads because none of the bolts that came with the puller fits. Someone suggested putting a bolt through the hole and holding it in the back with a nut. I did this 2X. The first time, the nuts broke off under pressure. I bought a grade 8 set of nuts and bolts. They are holding under pressure but the balancer is not budging. The center pivot part of the puller is starting to get messed up as it is going inside of the center bolt hole. At this point I just want to get it off and will buy a new one to replace it. Can this be torched to get if off? I even lifted the condensor up in order to put a 1/2" extension bar to get in front of the bumper to use a pipe to try and turn it. This is not doing a thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Why presuppose that the puller manufacture is omnipotent?

Get bolts that fit.

Now after you tension the center puller screw smack it with a
hammer.

IF you find you can turn it a little more turn it.
If not hit it again. then try to turn it.

Put the bolt back in and put the puller on that. If the puller is on the ballancer all your doing is pushing and pulling at the same time

is there a washer in there?
