I have a 91 4 cyl. ranger that runs fine but if it ever stalls it is hard to crank. Just wondering what would cause this. It acts as if it is flooded. Help

Have the same problem too...on both the old motor and new one...I just try not to stall it anymore...

"Hard to crank" do you mean it will crank but it is hard to start. The first thing to check is your airfilter. I also would suspect the IACV if you floor the gaspedal does that help?

I have the same truck with that same problem, it only occasionally does it, (a few times a year usually when teaching someone the art of a stick shift) and i have only had the issue when the truck is cold(35-60 degrees). Typically it starts right up but when it acts up it takes about 10-15 sec of trying to start before it stumbles to life then once it's running for about 5 seconds everything is normal. Not sure if it is flooded from the engines computer telling it to dump lots of fuel in as it dies or what. It hasn't left me stranded and never miss fires or hesitates otherwise
