hey guys. this problem started up yesturday. every time i go to start the truck it cranks for a while before it starts up. after wards it starts up fast. runs great every time no codes, sea foamed it last week. pump primes up like always, new Purolator fuel filter and plugs, wires this past summer. battery is good starter is good. just seems like its not getting fuel? going to do a pressure test on it Friday or Saturday. oh i turned the key on for 3 seconds then off 4 times and it started right up no problem or delay like it has been. truck is an 06 2.3 reg cab. 2wd. thanks for any help.

*edit* I have been searching for a while and not really finding the same issue it other threads.

The fuel rail/system is losing pressure when it sits.
Each time you turn the key on, the fuel pump runs for a second or two then stops, so cycling the key "on/off" a few times re-pressurizes the fuel system.

First get a match.........lol, joking

Check for any obvious leaks at the rail, clean your hands then feel fuel line areas then smell your fingers to see if you can pick up a gas smell to localize the leak, could even be at the fuel filter under the cab.
Leaking gas always leaves a residue.
