Handling Ranger

All 98+ Rangers use A-arms.





For a good handling Twin I Beam truck:

- Lower it. (DJM 3/4 drop or more)
- 1" Bronco II rear sway bar.
- 1 and 3/16" STX front sway bar.
- wider wheels and better tires.
- better shocks all around.
- poly bushings all around.
- stiffer springs (if you can find some).

With this ^ , I had to slow down on a nice long winding road, because the 'vette in front of me couldnt handle the turns as well as my truck, and I couldnt out accelerate him on the strait aways.

Just imagine what the guy in the vette was thinking. What the hell is that truck still doing back there?

IIRC, the 2.3l 4 cylinder is HEAVIER than a 302 with aluminum heads and intake.

The truckin project was called project rolling thunder so you can check it out for reference. They proved you could do it but I'm sure they spent a lot more than 5k, plus they aren't scared of fabbing their own stuff and cutting corners where they can. So I hope you can pull this off man and in budget.
