Halloween Run 2009

have fun don't run into the four wheeler again guys

I don't think King's gonna be able to make this run, so Josh's quad should be safe haha.

so that used up my fire wood money.

Fire wood money, really? Who buys wood haha. That's fine, I know where a fallen dead tree is I can hack up. It'll probably be wet as hell but as long as we get a fire started it'll burn.

I use fire starter logs when wood is wet lmao

I'm very interested in going. I have a few friends that would be as well. I unfortunately only have a 2WD Ranger Edge. I just bought some 33" BFG A/T's to assist with driving in some of the muddy areas back home. I was actually in a really muddy cornfield the other day, and was worried about getting stuck, but the truck did fine! I realize in comparison to all your 4WD trucks, i'm most likely not going to come near to the performance, however wonder if I would be able to get around at the badlands at ALL?

Look at this way, if I get stuck... its just more fun in the mud my friends will have pulling me out, right? :)

Some non-judgmental advice on the 2WD would be appreciated! :)

Go anyways. Their are spots i'm sure to play in.I'm taking my stock 4x4 Ranger!

The rains gonna suck for tent setting. I hate all this rain! It's been nothing but rain as of late.

What would be a wheeling/camping trip without cold temperatures and rain? I think it will be alright, I just have to remember to pack extra socks and under britches.

Weather looks good to me. 20% chance of light rain saturday and nothing for sunday. I could care less what it does at night, I'll be in my 30 dollar home :D.

Wicked - The decision is 100% up to you. As far as terrain, there'll be mud but I'm sure not like you expect. There's so much variety you can really pick and choose what you want to do. They have huge sand/pea gravel "dunes", the trucks only area is all rocks (old rock quarry), a lower wooded area that's more open (this will be impassable I'm sure, if its not completely under water), then there's wooded trails. I know one trail will be super muddy, and I'll probably be avoiding it seeing how we've got so much rain. The other trail I expect to be fairly dry, or at least mud shouldn't be an issue. I'm not sure if I'd go with a 2wd simply cause I like being pretty self sufficient. That's solely between you and your buddies though.

Ok, I bought a 30 degree sleeping bag for 27 bucks and a new tent from someone for 10 bucks that was never even opened and it's the perfect size.Got some new pants too and bringing extra blankets so I am set! Lets not forget my tools! Still bringing that pole with the flag?

Can never have to many socks seeing as they like to seem to vanish in a home!

Well tomorrow's the big day. Got all my clothes and camping crap packed, just gotta pack the cooler tomorrow, load up the truck, and hit the road. I should be there ~ 5-5:30 eastern time.

I'm lookin forward to a good weekend of wheelin. Everyone drive safe!

Hope you guys have a good time. If the Toyota was in a little better shape, I'd haul out there and wheel with you guys. I'd hate to get all the way out there and something stupid break again right away. I'm just going to stay home and see if I can't get the Superduty buried out by our campsite, and go look at some Eaton axles and 48'' Michelin XL's.

I am gonna make it. Barring nothing breaks on the 6 hour drive there. Should be in around 1800 or so.
