My first car had a hole in the gas tank at approximately 3/4ths. I had it approximately a month. I've filled a tank past the 3/4th mark only once in fifteen years of driving. I've never run out or had a frozen fuel line, but sometimes I pay higher prices for gas because I didn't buy enough at cheaper stations.

I hate pumping gas, so I always fill the tank all the way to reduce the number of times I have to do it. I also do it so I can calculate the gas mileage.

yup, take the miles youve gone and divide it by the number of gallons you just put in, NOT your tank size.

mpg that will be accurate even when you put in 10 bucks.

and dont forget to reset your trip odometer.
