So. Looking at replacing my bulbs. The one went out shortly after i rewired them with 12ga. They were a few years old when i got them in 2010 and bounced around the guys storage unit so it's about time to replace the bulbs. Here is my question.
I have the style of H3 bulb where it has your power wire which is that fabric cord type material with a spade connector on it. Then the ground wire appears to be screwed on to a tiny screw on the bulb base or maybe even soldered on. What i'm wanting to know is there an H3 bulb that has two spade terminals coming off of it that i could just hook both wires to the bulb with spade terminals? Only asking because i think it would be easier and make for a better ground. I don't know the brand of the lights. Guy bought them and traded his truck in shortly after so he had them a few years and forgot where he got them.
Here is what the lights look like.

That's the type of bulb it is now except it's a 55watt. So just wondering if there is an H3 with a different ground set up. I don't see why i couldn't use a two prong H3 bulb if i found one and just have a spade for the positive and negative wires that plug into the respective terminals. Just running this by people before i buy any new bulbs.
Thought i should make it clear the ground wire runs off the base of the bulb and down through the shaft of the mounting bolt and i have it grounding to my steel license plate bracket that's mounted by holes drilled in the bumper. I had seen some of the H3 bulbs where from what i understand the contact the base makes with the housing is your ground which doesn't seem all that good of an idea to me. Makes me think you are asking for ground issues eventually.
