what is exactly gutting the cats on my 90 4.0 i can see right though them

is there a honeycomb-like structure inside the cats? if not, theyve been gutted.

keep in mind, running with disabled emissions components is against federal law, whether you have to pass state emissions or not.

really well ya um i can see right through both of them u know b/c i have 2 and there welded together ya i can see right through them

Could (improbable) but could be what they call "test pipe cats" I looked at one today and it was strait through.

No doubt. They would probably pass a visual inspection depending on how "street camo'd" it is. They had a couple that were powder coated a rust-like color lol. (I touched them to make sure it wasnt real rust and it wasnt!)

I don't like cats! Not under under my truck or on the hood (hence:just plain stupied) but Wicked & some other guys proved to me that a healthy cat under the truck makes for a healthy truck.

Just becuase you bought the truck that way doesn't mean you are not responsible.
Not to mention, gutted cats, with no muffler sounds like crap!!


I don't know what it would sound like with a muffer, but it couldn;t be that much better.

And you may "think" it sounds cool, but wait till you step on the throttle and a cop hears you, and he then gives you a ticket for being too loud, AND having modified Emissions parts!

ya seriously google the a catalytic converter does to unburned gas... its their for a reason.. just get a high flow cat and be happy..

and ya, when you get a ticket and you try to explain to your parents why you got it, don't slip about knowing about them and not doing anything about it
