I picked up my new remington model 700 VTR in .308 cal with limited run digital desert camo stock. I've put deadnutz scope base/ring kit on the rifle and a New Nikon Nikoplex 3x9 40mm scope on top. I havent shot it yet but im definitly chompin at the bit to sight it in at the range:headbang:

my camera skills suck i need Bob Ayers to come over and take some sick shots of my stuff!!!

unless your seeing something im not the pic is inbeded in the post?

it got you too? i didnt see it the first time i went on either, so i posted a "usless without pics". then it came up so i edited my post

Very nice. I also own a Remington 700 CDL model in a 30-06 cal. My dads owns a Rem 700 BDL .270 win. For some reason, the CDL model has 2" more inches over the BDL. I find the Rem 700 to be a very accruate rifle. I tore through the bush for 3 deer seasons, never got a deer, but the rifle has always remained sighted in. I use a Pentex 3-9x40 scope with drop sights/range estimates.

Since now it warming up, I'm itching to go down to the gun range. I really need to find one with a 200 or yard range.

If I'm not mistaken, some of the snipers with highest #of kills in Nam used them.

the scope is a nikon monarc actually. its a 3x9 40mm and i bought it without a box for 200$ it retails for 420$ at stores and can be found online for 3 and change. the deadnutz mounts were another 40ish bucks. So i guess you gotta pay to play. i had my eye on a Zeiss they had in stock but i couldnt spend 800$ on a scope.

My room mate has one, cant remember the exact model, but it's dark green and he has a Super Sniper scope on it. I haven't shot it yet but I'd like to try.

well you could have bought a nice leupold scope for that price. they actually have brass gears inside instead of plastic gears which bump after every 10 shots or so.

Wicked sweet!

Please give us a range report once she's broken in.

Ive heard because of the Triangle ish shape of the barrel lets the
groups open up once the barrel gets warm.

I've been looking at the Rem 700sps .308
see i want to make big holes in little things from far away
