where can u find these tires for sale???

I wish I knew, I had a set of 12-15 Gumbo Mudders (31" tall) on my BII for years. I got them back in 2001 I think, at a big tire store in downtown Nashville, Tn that actually had them in stock. I can't remember the name of the place. I know the tires were made by Gateway.

Just 2 months ago I needed to replace them & couldn't find them anywhere, so I went with some 33" Swamper LTB's. The Gumbo's are awesome tires, best tires I ever had!! I still have the ones I took off 2 months ago, but they aren't in good shape at all.

umm... denman tire makes them, so search sites for denman tires, or try denman tires website

Gateway "Gumbo Monster Mudders" is the tire being looked for. Denman tires does not show this tire, & the Ground Hawg is a totally different tire.

If I am missing something here, please let me know. They are awesome tires & were around for a long time, that's all my dad ran on his jeep when I was a kid of about 10 yrs old (28 yrs ago), & I bought a set as recently as 8 yrs ago, but I sure as hell can't find them anymore. I am just going to assume they don't make them anymore.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway, it just sounds like I am getting an attitude because I really wanted to get some more of them & it is frustrating.:pissedoff:

well i suggested denman tires bcuz i was on the yota site i visit... rip my yota... ne ways there was a few post there that said denman tires used to make them, i didnt have time to search there site, but i just did and they sale ground hawgs i no that, and i searched google for gumbo monster mudders and got a page with pictures of ground hawgs and the gumbo monster mudders, but couldnt buy em, and on a forum on off-road.com i read about gateway making them and a guy trying to get ahold of them i think it was a pretty recent post...

hawgs are it, but boggs are better ime then either of em..

i cant believe you owned tires since o1....wow. i dont have luck ike that

Wow....I can't believe that I thought I read ground hawgs........apparently I hadn't had enough coffee yet that morning...

Gateway sold out and were discontinued as far as i know, and there is no source for new tires.

swynx,
I appreciated the suggestions you gave me, wasn't trying to come off like an azz! :icon_thumby: I checked out the new links you gave & those guys whining about flat spots on cold mornings, etc, need to get some radials & go to the mall. The pic of the tire is the right one. I still have the 4 I took off recently & if I can figure out how to post em, I will throw one on here just for fun. Thanks again!

bobbywalter,
The only reason I had them that long is because my B2 saw a lot of down time for several years, believe it or not, they are still usable in a pinch.

Sasquatch_Ryda,
I usually have a minimum of 5 cups before I can pay attention, so I understand.
Thanks for letting me know Gateway sold out & were discontinued, that is a good reason why I can't find em. That sucks though!

OK, now that I have the bad news, :bawling:. Heck, I'm not even the one that asked the original question, Thanks for asking 07rangerfx4! :icon_thumby:

If memory serves, Super Swampers are very similar.

Gateway Monster Mudders = Boggers in their day.
My family owned a gas station in the late 70's,sold the heck out of them!

they are simila to co op tires....i think co op tires are the same molds just dont go too big in size....

back in the day they were the shit.

but compared to boggers.....they are shit.

Cant argue with that BW.
Who ever comes up with design better than the Bogger will be a rich MoFo!
