i got san andreas for my computer from walmart for 10 bucks, im at teh part where u torch the hippies fields, the mission called, "are you going to san fierro" and right after the vid, the game closes and says something about windows has had a problem and needs to close, ive cleaned teh disc and theres no scratches, on it, and it still does it ne one have ne ideas what to do. since i cant return it

if it is the cd thats bad then download the exe ( 'Crack for Version 1.0 ENG") from this site

and go to program files / rockstar and replace the current exe there with the new one

this will allow you to run the game without the cd


if it isnt the cd thats bad i bet your either running vista or just have bad luck

well yeah im running windows vista, but theres been no probs with the agme till now, but vista really sucks, and i cant get internet on the laptop iether, so could i download this file to a flashdrive, and transfer it, i just downloaded it and extraced all files, to the flsah drive, and sent it to the laptop, how do i do the program files / rockstar and replace the current exe there with the new one?, not sure thanks for help

its a pretty small file

like 5 megs or so methinks

i use no cd cracks for all my games cause then the cds last longer

just overwrite the current .exe with the crack version .exe

My san andreas CD was fucked up too when i went to install it, said it wouldn't read it so i downloaded the crack.

ive found on teh start menu it says

| uninstall gta san andreas

are you guys talking about in there somewhere?. thats all i can find similiar to what u guys may be talkin about

update, i got to teh program files/ rockstar/ gta san andreas part. now what do i do?

Here's the simplest way.
Go to the desktop or program menu shortcut (that you use to launch the game)
Right click, choose "properties" then "Find target"
A window will open with the .EXE in it.
Rename the original .EXE something like .oldEXE (I always keep the original .exe just in case.)
Drag and drop your cracked .EXE into the folder.
If this doesn't work you may try backing up your saved game and reinstalling.

thanx, that was easy, but i downloded a patch so that the game is version number 1, ppl tell me that version number 2 will crash if u install mods into it and i did, and right after that it wouldnt let me go no further
