Thanks

I live right down from 17. ahaha go in the jeep swallower? theres 4 entrances into that trail BTW, that arent so deep. Join Ontario Ranger Club on facebook.

also post some pictures of what your driving! You can see mine <there. that pit isnt to be attempted this time of year. Im sure the guys here let ya know this. I pass that trail almost every day, but around 5:30 and 11:30 pm.

mind sharing the entrances locations? im @ trafalgar and looking for some mild fun in the area. unable to find much so i posted a thread not too long ago, didnt get that far haha. then i see this one's right around the corner basically. fill me in, ive got nothing!

at the end of 3rd line, at 17 and 4th line, and at 25 and 17th.

if you have never gone in there, go through 3rd line. 17th will sink you unless your on 35's and 5-6 inch lift.

oh, watch for cops. they tail lifted trucks into there sometimes, and they stay a ways back.

and if your so dam close, JOIN THE ONTARIO RANGER CLUB!

no way, id love to see a crown vic buried past the doors! haha damn pork choppers! so do you think its at all do-able for a 2wd lifted with 31 mt's? haha i said mild fun, now you're talkin about 5- 6 inches with 35's and it spooks me :P id be going in there alone(well, just my truck.. ill bring a friend so i dont get lonely lmao), ive got all sorts of rope, come-alongs, straps and whatnot that i could get out if needed. All ive ever really done with the truck is mess around on some powerline trails out in Binbrook. And the big muddy fields they tear up before a housing development goes in, those are fun too but its generally frowned upon doing that hahaha.

i joined the club last night, on facebook. im gonna get some pics up here and facebook soon! its a 2002 3.0 2wd, base model that i bought off of Guelph Hydro. 70 k on a meter reader truck, things brand new!

oh and ive got the body lift and the tires, putting them on tomorrow! wish me luck
and yes i realize doing this will not make my 2wd into an offroad beast. its all abut the budget! :(

oh i know what you mean budget wise. i have FAR to much in my truck. I think i just passed $8,000 in upgrades over the course of a year and a half... LOL.

Id offer to help, but im not gonna be around tomorrow. If you dont get it done i can give you a hand. Also, id never go into any trial alone, especially if you have never been there. stuck 2wd with 31's, you MIGHT be ok, but i wouldnt chance it. Its a good 3hr walk to the nearest town. 10 minute drive though. and the tow companies wont go in there. if you go and get stuck, email me at Clarke_n@live.com and ill come get you. I have a 4" suspension lift and 33's, so that trail isnt much to me, i just avoid the large pits.

dont go in the pit in the middle, and dont go in the 4th line and 17th sideroad entrance. you WILL get stuck.

truck is parked til tomorrow. i got the box off and did everything for the cab but the middle driver side cab mount's bolt snapped off inside the sleeve, tried and its almost impossible to drill out. this was all at like 6 so the stores were closed! im gonna go buy new bushings and whatnot for the whole ca tomorrow. and patter away at it in the dark. this is my only vehicle but my sister let me borrow her car that she doesn't ever use much

Man that is a HUGE hole! hopefully ya got everything sorted by now, i had to chuckle when you who said " i hate you" after being convinced to go for it and finding out the hard way

yeah my body lift got ****ed up pretty hard. everything went great, i had the box right off and was cleaning up the frame.those torx heads came out super easy and the first five cab mounts came off perfect. even the core support ones which i was worried about, it was the driver side middle that snapped off inside the sleeve. so i tried drilling it out, but it was next to impossible to keep er straight with the hole being half under the dash. it was 8:00 when i called it quits and decided to take another crack at it the next day. turns out ford doesnt stock cab mount bushings anymore, they would have to order them in.same deal with part source or anything quick like that. looks like im gonna order them online, has anybody got any suggestions for me? im gonna do the whole kit, no sense in just doing one to have the other five fail around it.

its my dd and im missing it bigtime, itsonly been 24 ours but i feel like its gonna be a while before i have the ubushings in my hands lol. rush shipping on that one for sure. ahh im so pissed too lol, the first five came out great, the last one just twisted the head right off.

It is pretty impresive lol
I got the truck up and running without any issues :icon_thumby:

i had to chuckle when you who said " i hate you"

My friend said that, he's one of the bigger lazy ppl and he was really upset that he had to step out of the car and actualy work :icon_rofl:

How's ur truck doing??
Got the bushings??

removing cab bolts you have to heat them up or they snap. they come out by hand with a propane torch.

That hole is called the jeep swallower for a reason. Ive watched a ram 1500 on 38's with 12" lift dip its headlight under. that hole is not to be toyed with. ive pulled more trucks out of that one then anywhere else in the entire trail. 17th sideroad is not a trail you attempt alone, and never at night. I usually on my way home, check the trail entrances for people stuck. half the time i find someone i gotta help. Tow strap and winch is always in my truck for that reason.

the hole you went through in the video is the new trail. the old one was not passable by anything in the area. if you go and end up stuck, msg me on here. it goes to my cell phone. i knwo the local tow company, and guys that regular that trail. if i cant get you out, theres plenty that will.
