Gt-12

i had to....there was nothing available that would look right.everything out on the market is WAY too big.

Oh I like it just amazes me the know how you have, bring a whole new meaning to the phrase "built not bought". If I knew half of what you know my brain would explode. I can usually get something to work with what I got but actually redesigning it for my needs, wow! This build just continues to amaze me. You are one of those guys that I look at and say you built what out of your garage?!

It's even more impressive when he tells them he built it in his basement.

here's the gate for the shifter.

and there it is together.

i was originally going to be mounting the shifter to the tunnel, but i've since decided to mount it directly to the transmission.that little bit of vibration going through the shifter will give it that four-speed feel.

I'm pretty sure he is going to disassemble it and slide the pieces out through the front door.

Or was it that window in the background of some of the pictures? I don't remember :shok:

Is that a home brew hammer I spot in the middle of the tool pile?

ya,some of it goes out the front door, some out the back door.the window works good for getting 20' lengths of material into the house.

that's my brass hammer.it's made from a section of old fishing boat brass propeller shaft,1/2'' redi rod,and a bit of 1/2'' sch40 pipe.it's been used to coax many a diff together.

btw....notice what my work bench is for all these recent pics?

ya,that's the roof of the car:D.

Car? You're building a car? All this time i thought it was a rocket ship...

This thing is motoring along really nicely Tom. Looks awesome, can't wait to see it a runner:D
