i'm using three colors on this car,and only three colors.red, silver, and black.
all the steel parts on the frame and suspension will be black,as much of the aluminum stuff as is possible will be left natural, and the body is red(with the silver stripes).
the interior is black, except for the wood dash(the only exception to the rule)the cam covers will be red,but most any other parts that get painted on the engine will be black.
with that, the wires need to be either black or red.i think red with black boots would be good.
a little late but MECHANICAL LINKAGE FTW lol much much much cooler
Also I wonder if you could get creative with the routing of the spark plug wires to show em off... snaking in and out of the intake runners might look pretty slick.
not to mention by snaking the plug wires in and around could create some weird RFI signals.....

This thread is our star attraction![]()
Yeah, if we had a TRS walk of fame, this would be the first star in the walk! Funny thing is, it's not an RBV.
I don't post in this thread much, but I certainly stop by and admire it a lot. I've shown it to many friends and co-workers who also admire it.

Must be nice. All my friends and co workers think I'm nuts for spending so much on cars, so I just keep TRS to myself.![]()
there's more people in disant lands that know about this build than people in my town.suppose that'll change once it hits the road![]()
so next weekend right?
getting closer....i almost have a shifter now.
![]()
just have to finish the gates for it,and a mount.
![]()
these are the parts for the gates.since it won't have an indicator,i need some way to know which position im putting it in.these gates are designed to guide it into certain gears by holding the shifter to the right or letting it spring to the left.
![]()
after hunting around for a suitable spring,i got fed up and wound my own from the core wire from a boat control cable.it works really well, just the right amount of force is needed on the shifter to move it.
![]()
the other end is pretty straightforward.a simple clamp to hold the cable, and a shifter arm left over from a b&m shifter.
