Gt-12

Are you using the stock housings and bulbs?

yup.unfortunately i only have one lucas bulb-i'll have to order a new pair.

some other work i've been putting off doing on the hood is getting the back edge lined up.the seam at the door had about a 3/4'' gap-the hood couldn't go back as the line across the cowl was good,and the door was in the right spot,so i figured the best bet was to cut off this corner and move the whole thing back.

for both sides this adds up to almost another 8' of welding.

something i thought i'd throw in is how a weld should look when ground out.if everything is fitted properly and welded right,the seam should all but dissappear when ground.

I think i'd be putting something other than lucas in if I was doing a full build like this lol. but maybe that's just me lol.

This car is going to be so cool!

it's the whole british thing...every light on this car is lucas,and it's not like i'm going to be doing a lot of night driving anyway.

haha... hope not. or the prince of darkness will strike... :icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

keep in mind i'm not using lucas wiring:D

That's true lol :D. I imagine you can do better than lucas lol.

You're going to have fun wiring this cleanly though. but looking at your brake line job you will have no problem

yea i dont think projectors would really work all that well. he's trying to be stock looking you know.

other then the massive engine sticking out the hood and the side pipes flashy paint job and the trail of smoke behind him.......

how about somthing like this if the stocker ever burn out?

its for a tuck but im sure you can find the same thing for this or make these work

those aren't bad,but the tripod ones at the top of this page are ones i'd be more likely to go with;

they keep the old-school british look.while i'm obviously not keeping it 'stock',it's the details on things like this that can give the project the right feel,like using original style guages and such.

considering what you have accomplished so far....why would anyone question your decisions about the cosmetics....or mechanicals for that matter :dunno::dunno::icon_rofl:

keep it up :icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

oh,it's all good.i like the input,and there have been a few things on this build that were influenced by what people have said or suggested:icon_thumby:

but thanks for the kudos,it's appreciated:icon_cheers:

Still looking good, Gwaii. Those Frenched lights and the clear covers will be interesting to see when completed...

And the V-belt will make it run sooner. Less distractions. It's just a belt.

I still think your upper intake & carb setup is awesome...for some reason, that and your fender work are my favorites of this project so far.
