i sure hope so.but it's like i was saying a while ago, there's so many hours into just this one part of the job that it's a whole job into it's self.

had a problem with some of the metal i got too...

i had ordered three sheets of 12ga aluminum, which should be .085-.090 in thickness, what it turned out i got was .120,or 1/8'' which is way too thick for my interior panels.

some frantic calls got the proper stuff on the way,but now i'm stuck with $700 worth of 1/8'' material i've got to sell.it's a commonly used material,so i know i will move it but i was not in a position to put out that kind of money on stock for speculation at this point.

oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes.

didnt you want to plate the underside of the car? would that stuff be too thick there as well

Its all good as long as you can get rid of it without taking a hit.

Something tells me Gwaii will find a use for it before he finds a buyer. Maybe a tin-man helper for his projects.

The Doc is kinda quiet............wonder what hes up to?

think i may have a buyer...there's a guy that wants a cabin built for his aluminum skiff.just have to check his bank account.

Putting that sheet aluminum to good use, of course. :icon_welder:

actually,i haven't touched the aluminum yet....just been doing picky sheet metal work that doesn't make for very interesting photos.

i need to do some woodwork to make the forms for the rear wheel tubs so i can break into that aluminum...but i'm still making a trailer for a customer too.

i need a few more of me:sad:

How about an apprentice? I bet importing good vodka there is expensive though.

Probably. Plus with a journeyman when they screw up you don't have to hear "Well you taught me wrong"

i would never have to hear that anyway....when one of my apprentices screws up,that's the last time they say anything:icon_surprised:.

:D:icon_rofl:

At least now we know why you're always short handed, and also why you moved to an island with minimal law enforcement.
