Gt-12

It's been a week since anyone's posted in here? Any more progress? I need my GT12 fix.

Internet on the island is probably down again. But the welder is running for sure!

As to the topic of discussion a while back - the Makita cordless reciprocating saw ain't half bad. I've used one for construction before. I worked for a stove company for a little while doing stove installs, they had all Ryobi stuff - it's garbage. A fully charged battery is barely enough to cut a 14" oval hole in a roof. A good cordless saw is your best friend when installing new chimneys and having to crawl around screwed up places on people's roofs and in attics. I've monkeyed around in places you would not believe, and our company's insurance agent might have lost all their hair if they saw what I was doing.

Personally, I have a corded Porter Cable. It's cut a lot of stuff, and I can't complain. I like the tool-less blade changes on some of saws I've used before, but I feel better about manually tightening it myself.

oh,it's plenty cold enough now...unfortunately that isn't making much of a difference in my work load.also,i'm in the middle of negotiations to build my business from a back yard deal to something more formal.

snow's coming down pretty hard right now, trust me,i'd rather be puttering in the nice warm basement:icon_thumby:

Would this formal business be in need of a hard working apprentice?
