So my 4x4 quit working and i kept getting stuck. Sometimes when its stuck it'll grind in the rear end and my wheels won't turn... is that because it's an open diff? I won't even be that stuck... I really want to lock it up, or go with a limited slip. Hopefully i'll manage to get get some extra money in my pocket soon... thanks!

If none of the wheels are turning, you've got a problem elsewhere (transfer case maybe).

If at least ONE wheel per axle spins, then yes, a limited slip diff or locker should help.

Well it was only in 2w because 4x4 is broke... and when i was barely stuck it would grind in the rear end and no wheels would turn.

Sounds like you chewed the spider gears all to hell. Pull the diff. cover and take pictures of it.

Will do ha. I can still drive it though? It doesn't grind when i'm driving it around... but twice now when i've been barely stuck... it'll grind. I'm not to savv with the whole diff. I guess i'm about to learn though... Better the hard way than not at all.
