My 89 ranger has developed a “grind” over the last few months. It has gotten worse over time but I have NO CLUE what it is. I can’t feel it in the wheel or in the pedals. It first would do it when I was making rolling right hand turns, Then it started doing it when I get on the brakes a little hard. It has never done it while I’m turning right or driving straight. It tracks down the road good and the brakes work fine. My power steering pump leaks like a siv but steering is smooth. Can anyone help me narrow it down?! From the driver seat the noise does sound like it comes from the center of the truck

That leak could be coming from a place that needs that pressure to perform its task, maybe why it isn't doing so well.
