Grille question

I'm trying to find a replacement grille for my truck, but the only ones I can find are painted. Mine is not painted, it's red plastic. Is this something unusual or is this a normal thing?

first off I dont really know the answer to your question but i looked up images to see what the splash model grills were painted like and I ask if your truck is red. If yes then just look for a red grill for a splash model or get a painted grill and paint it with color match or whatever color you want.

That's what im having a hard time with. The grille I currently have is not painted. The plastic is red. And I would like to keep it that way, but the only thing I could find online is a ready to paint grille.

You must have an injection molded colored grill then. I thought Ford just painted the grill. Maybe a scrapyard can help you or buy it new from Ford if they have one. Cheaper to get one painted....

Yeah, I know painting would be cheaper. I called the dealer, they no longer carry the colored plastic. The only ones they have are the ready to paint. Im not so worried about the bumper. That's a pretty easy replacment. The more I look into it, the more it pisses me off. This grille is aparently not replacable. To my knowledge, the only color that came like this was red and yellow. All the others were black and painted. The odds of a junk yard find are pretty slim.

Thanks for that! On a quick look over, they don't have listed what I need, but ill dig into it a little more when I get time and see.

No matter how the factory parts were colored almost all replacements are paint to match.
