Hello, name is Andrew. From SE MI and have been browsing the site for the last few weeks, wanting to get back into a Ranger. First one i bought was in high school, that was a 1994 Black Ext Cab XLT 4.0L Auto 4x4, had a 3"Body 6" suspension and 35" All-Terrains. Sold it back in 04, after first year of collage because it was hard to pay for gas to get home during vacations. Fast forward til last Christmas, seeing scrap books my mom put together and old senior photos get me to miss it.
Just bought a 1993 Ext Cab XLT 4.0L Auto 4x4, it's stock height, green with 150k Miles and no rust. Only paid 1500 for it and runs like a champ. Guessing i'm going to have to replace some suspension stuff and u-joints soon because it had been sitting a while before i bought it. Plans are to do what i wanted to do with the last one and what i did do, better to this one. Last one i had stock d35 TTB / 8.8, this one i want a SAS d44 / 9" with 35-38" tires, about the same amount of lift and transplant my mountaineers 5.0/4r70w into the ranger after a rebuild. Also repainting it flat black with charcoal fender flares / grill.
If any one has any tips, tricks or comments they would be greatly appreciated and the truck is mostly for DD / 2 tracking up by my parents cabin in Lewiston.
