Been lurking the forums for sometime and thought I'd finally join in on the activities.
Here are the specs on the truck.
1997 Ranger XLT
Short cab
Step-side bed
Dark blue exterior
Grey interior
2.3L 5spd
Truck has 263k miles and <10k on the rebuild
Lowered 3" front and 4" rear
17x9 FR500 front wheels w//275 40 r17 tires
17x10.5 FR500 rear wheels w/315 35 r17 tires
I pulled the motor ~ two years ago and did a complete refresh with .030 over flat top pistons. Intake and cylinder head have been extrude honed. Cam is stock as is the manifold/header. I redid the exhaust with a single in dual out Dynomax turbo muffler with the tips turned out in front of the right rear tire.
Waiting to go onto the truck is a remote mount turbo and an electric fan. I've tossed around the ideas of a small block and the 2.3 turbo swap, but really like the idea of the remote mount as it will look mostly stock under the hood.
