I can't see someone paying $20-60k+ car (depending on what was) and doing that to it.
I wonder if the cars were hot...
Isnt that kind of the whole reason to buy a car like that?

NO!! I have raced cars and motorcycles most of my life. You know the sound of a V8, Bro. That tiny BMW also weighs a bit less and it is a fast car off the floor. Just wondered if the guy had built it up a bit? I don't even know the year of that BMW...they all seem to look alike....lol!! Man, that thing was fast. I just wish I had my GoPro mounted on the dash that day. I don't take anything with me when we go to malls or the VA Hospital. Just something you got to hide out of view to keep scum away!!!

Stock Boss has 3.73 with 3.31 optional. The 3.73's would acutally give a higher speed due to what the difference in RPM's are and what power (12% difference) is available. That 444 HP is at the crank at 6500, HP required to move is just based on drag, weight, frontal area and a couple of other small things. Without the right gearing, you won't have the power to go faster.I doubt many are purchased with the intent of street racing to the point that bouncing off of guardrails is acceptable...
It is kinda funny Bosses don't have the power to go much past 150mph, that is about where my old 200hp Laser was supposed to to top out.
Are they geared lower than a GT for road courses? That would be a factor too... I could swear the GT's were supposed go quite a bit faster than ther governor.
