The last little while I have been noticing grease leaking on to the rim. I took the lug nut cover off and could see that it was coming out of the bearing cover. The bearing cover seemed to have a dent in it where i could see the grease was coming out from the dent. I then removed it easily with my hand as it was not a very tight fit at all. I went to the store and purchased a new bearing cover for $8. I tapped it in, and it was nice and snug now. I washed the rim as well to make sure it won't come back. So I am just wondering what you guys think. Was it just a bad bearing cover? It seems odd because it's been on there for a long time so I find it strange that a lot of grease make out of it just recently.
I did jack it up and the bearing spins well and is nice and tight. I also had the front brakes done last year.
So do you guys think the problem is solved?
I wondered because I have heard that grease coming out like that may be from overheating issues.
