Anyone every swapped the Stock Ford one for one of these?
If so... Is it hard? What do you need?

Ryan

ya its easy. u just need a grant instllation kit. and grant steering wheel. the only problem i had on my friends truck waz we had to take it off and adjust it a couple times to get it straight.

does your truck have cruize control?

if so they make special kits so you can keep the cruize control and have a nice steering wheel.

Hmm Thanks!! Yeah its got Cruise Control... I want a Mahogany Steering Wheel to match the front of my dash and shift knob. (:

nice, but yuo gotta make sure you get the 1 for the wheel your getting. they make a cruize control option for either 3 or 4 spoke wheels!

hope it works out.

How much do you think this runs?

$30-40 bux depending on da installition kit. and $30-130 depending on da steering wheel, so youre lookin at $60-170 bux for both, depending on what you get.

i love these steering wheels though.

im 17 and i can install 1. lol

btw. props on your truck... i love the older rangers

Dunno which one you are getting, but watch the offset.

I have the old school chrome one with holes in the three spokes, it is almost too close for comfort. In a standard cab you can't get far enough away from it.

I didn't know Grant makes cruise control kits. You get rep for telling me that. I've been trying to figure out a way to have cruise yet still have a cool steering wheel. :yahoo:

Does the cruise control kits work for any of their steering wheels?

yea they make a kit that fits only the 3 spoke steering wheels, and a kit for only the 4 spoke steering wheels... so you can choose any steering wheel u want from grant :D they sell them on autozone.com

Nice. Now I need to save up for one. :icon_thumby:

I am about to buy one with a three inch dish. It is hard to tell what the what the adapter will add to the dish or how that will compare to the original wheel.

Does anybody know?

If you have a single cab 88, I would look for a flat dish or maybe a 1" dish.

Our stock wheels are pretty flat, so with a 3" dish you might not have breathing room.
