Got the fm146 swap done, had a little problem...

well i got the swap done today, and everything is working good. i love the 5spd over the a4ld. i ran into a problem with the tcase shifteer hitting the trans trying to put it into 2-hi. its hitting the lever right below the "gate pattern" part of the bracker. it looks like i might can grind some off of the lever where its kinda bulged. im trying to find an online pic of what im talking about. is there a difference in the a4ld and fm146 shift linkages? is there an adjustment or something? the only way i can get it to go to 2hi is loosen up the bracket

is the lip on the "c" part where the bushing goes. it ok to grind that down? it seems that lip is 1/4" and if i grind that down it wont hit anymore

grind away its extra metal, if it works awesome, i believe there specific to the trans-tcase combo though

well i grinded away the lip deal, and used a washer to space it out and it works great

Congrats on the swap. When I had my 93 2wd I bought a donor truck with everything I needed then said f it when I looked at swapping thr pedals over. Removing a transmission is easy but the pedals looked like a huge pain in the ass.
