Got the filler neck out

Got it out and it is ugly. I just wanted to share a picture of how bad this thing was. I had to get it out in pieces. I used the larger set of pick tools from harbor freight which worked great. I don't think I could have got the broken screen out from the hose without it. Next is the fuel filter. I know I have been saying I am going to do this for a while now but I've been busy with work and just getting back from vacation. Anyone go to Pigeon Forge this last weekend? I was there and had a BLAST. Well here is a picture of my lovely filler neck I replaced.

sHEESH!! And I thought the neck on the Rat was bad..It was in 1 piece when I wire wheeled it, holes appeared. JBWeld fixed that. Where did you find the new neck?

Got a new one on Ebay for around $23.77. Then I bought the heavy duty picks from harbor freight. Those worked good because they are solid and don't bend. I need that for getting the hoses off the tube and the screen was stuck inside the hose so I had to poke a hole in the screen to be able to grab it. I also have been treating the rubber hose with a rubber seal treatment that helps soften the rubber. I think that helped a lot because the hose was nice and pliable. Happy it is done. Tired of cleaning the screen with a magnet so I can put gas in my truck. Let alone rust getting into my tank.

What event happened that you had such a blast-

We went to the Dixie stampede, aquarium, titanic museum, mountain put-put, mirror mazes, and a lot of gift shop stores. I have kids (7 and 1) so its hard to do things like go carts and roller coasters. But all in all it was a good time.

Its worth it the trip. nice area and you can park and walk to a lot of stuff. we stayed at a cabin 12 minutes from everything. Definitely a good vacation. I never though I would see a girl standing on 2 horses hauling ass around fire torches then jumping through a ring of fire while standing on 2 horses. Pretty sweet.
