And it's not exactly what I was going for. The dampers I got (Skyjacker Hydros) are fine, and were a breeze to do in the rear. When I took off the old dampers, they had about 1/2-1" of travel down before they bottomed out, and they said MOTORCRAFT on them. So it's a good bet they are factory originals, and the truck has 200k+ miles on it.
I was putting the Hyrdo's up front as well, along with some lifting coils. The guy told me it was a 3-3.5" lift, and they are from Superlift. Well, the result doesn't jive with those numbers. All I wanted was an honest 2-3" to level out the truck. I only did one side so far:
Raised the driver's side wheel to make it as level as I could(my jack has limited range):
Sitting completely on its own weight:
And just found an old one. This is how the truck sat when I first got it:
The rear has a ProComp add-a-leaf, which raised the rear about 4" from where it was sitting in that last picture.
