ok first off i have a 92 ranger and want to lower it a little bit. also would a rear end out from under a mustang fit under my truck? and what can i do for better handlind and traction

Mustang should work, measure the axle from the mounting plate to mounting plate.

Stiffer shocks, lowering it help out alot, and also good sway bars.

maybe bigger brakes.

A mustang axle will have different shock mounts, so you'd have to cut the factory mounts off, and weld new ones on.
As far as sway bars go, Bronco II rear sway bars are a direct bolt on, and came as large as 1", which is PLENTY thick for a ranger. You can go aftermarket as well through companies like Hellwig, or Belltech.
If you're trying to improve handling, there are three areas that need to be adressed. You need to get the center of gravity lower(drop the truck). You need to stiffen things up(quality shocks, and sway bars will help). And last you need to get some decent tires(Wider, and stickier than stock). Removing weight will help too, but that's not really a suspension deal.

The best options for lowering the fround would be DJM 3" drop Ibeams, or Belltech 2" drop coils or a combination of both depending on how low you want to go. I sell both on my site as well.
