I liked my 60/40 seat too, but I HATED having someone sit in the middle, and the armrest lid on them ALWAYS break (mine was). So doing a bucket swap with the center console made perfect sense as an upgrade to me.

More storage, better placement of cupholders, good buckets seats, and a reason to bust into some modding time, which is always fun.

yeah yeah.. i'm gonna go look for some zx2 seats.. i like the look of them.
and then possible let a guy i know do all new seat covers for my "new" buckets and rear seat...


and i might actually get a dang cupholder

Get the explorer center console then lol. Perfect fit and look. Luxuriously equiped with not one, but TWO cup holders. ;P

Yeah, eventually I want to get my buckets and armrest cloth redone in grey and black. Gonna get around to painting the console myself. The seat foam is still pretty solid.

i'm gonna check it out for sure... pull a part seats are are $18 for bucket seats!!!
a large console is $10, but if the lady that is usually at the register checks me out she'll charge me for the small console probably!! only $6!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice score. And fyi, that seat upholstery comes off VERY easily. I pulled mine off and ran them through the washer and let them air dry, they came out looking brand new with none of the previous owner's smells (he smoked alot of weed in the truck and it reaked)! LOL!!

I'm pretty sure it would be fine, you'd just need an external speaker, obviously. People put them in glove boxes don't they? can't be any more cramped than that.

You talkin about my seats? And I was more concerned with getting them back on the right way. Plus the front clips that pulls the cloth taught around the front of the seat that clips onto the metal frame refuses to stay clipped >__> very annoying.
