got dissed already

ok

i looked through this entire thread and have yet to see a post where makg posted to defend himself so im guessing its alot of behind the back trash talking. Jim correct me if im wrong but didnt you create TRS to give us RBV owners a place to get together? i mean hell first guy i talked to was Metalmcguyver close to two years ago when i joined and both of us are still here. granted some things happen online that pisses people off ( bogginBSeries's temporary banning) get over it so our tech advisor was wrong...OHOOHOHOHOHOHO no shit it happens i thought last week i knew what i was talking about and called makg an idiot when he answered my post about steering and ball joints. guess what he was trying to help me out and ps I WAS THE WRONG ONE... so get over it man. and jim thanks for TRS

Nope, nothing behind the scenes.

It's just not something that worries me. I've seen people get all worked up about being corrected before.

MAKG is amusing.

Even if you were right but he used his diverting arguments to make it seem like you were wrong, just wait and watch him. Eventually he will say something that you can bust him on.

Why is it nobody ever attacks the average person. People always want to find fault with the smarter person or physically challenge the bigger guy.

I ask questions if I don't know, but rarely answer questions because there are people out there who love to pick things apart. You make an honest mistake or use the wrong name/term and people are all over you.

I believe you should always wait and see what different people say in a forum before accepting the advise of someone. Someone may be wrong, and I guarentee it that people will quickly point it out if they are.

Some of you think MAKG thinks he's smarter than everyone else and thrives on the opportunity to display his intelligence, but you don't see him putting up any arguements here our posting up what his education/experiences are in other discussions. Yet, amazingly he can come up with answers to some pretty complicated questions.

04 Edge,

Please do not let a bad start cool you off of this site. It's worth the time you take - just yesterday someone answered a question for me that would have taken me hours to research. Like Jim says mechanics in general are a pretty salty bunch; but these guys really do work pretty well together.

I used to fish with some folks outside the Golden Gate when I lived in California. We had a saying on the boat that applies to this site and just about all the rest. "Leave you feelings at the dock, don't bring them on board the boat. If you do, someone is going to hurt them for you."

MAKG once called me ignorant, didnt hurt my feelings at all, because on the subject he was 100% right.he presents facts and you have to prove him wrong......thats what tears alot of people up on here...........they cant!
not saying he is 100% right all the time but he does know his stuff and i respect him for that.

lol

heres my formal TRS apology over the ball joints thing last week sorry man. the one i had on the left had a slight manufacturing defect in it. theres the play that felt different

I wasn't going to post anything here because it has nothing to do with me, but something made me change my mind.

All I have to say is that I have never been given bad advice from any of the Tech Advisers or mods. You guys know your stuff and I appreciate any help or advice I've gotten. I only hope to know as much as you guys do one day. Keep up the good work and rock on. :headbang:

That's really not necessary.

As I said, it happens all the time, and it really is understandable.

I've gotten bitten by DOA parts myself. So has most of the staff (well, probably all of the staff, but I don't know that for sure). And it's hard to accept the first time.
