91 4X4, 4.0L. - New truck to me!

When the brakes are cool (driving around town, no stress), everything is great!!! Stops straight, stops good, everything normal.

If you heat them up, hard stops, long down hill brakeing, etc., the truck pulls to the left. The left front brake will actually lockup if you get on it hard.

Where should I look???

Do you know how old the brakes are? Being new to you new rotors and calipers, pack the wheel bearings then you know where you stand. Sounds like a sticking caliper.

The calipers are what I was thinking also since there aren’t any return springs. Just weird one of them would wait until it was hot to stick.

Just looked at receipts I got with the truck and the calipers, pads and bearing pack are about 18 months old (5K miles). Les Schwab did the work. Wonder if they would honor their 36 month warranty?

Hats off for Les Schwab! :yahoo:

I was upfront with them. I told them I just got the truck and what the problem was. They started out saying the warranty only applied to original customer. I pointed out that the warranty doesn't say that.

They said they would check it out. They replaced the calipers, pads and turned the rotors. AT NO CHARGE!! You can't ask more than that. :icon_bounceblue:

Told them they had a customer for life.
