I got a job today, im going to save up money to rebuild my ranger or possibly do a 5.0 swap later on down the road or use it as a mud truck.I got chewd out today by my father for having log chains on my brush guard. I will have two cars on my hands my ranger an i am getting a late 80s early 90s chevy cavalier z24. I got some cool plans to do motor wise to both my vechicles.:headbang:

all i can say is, at the end of the day, a newer truck or car may cost more, but you wont be fixing it every 5 minutes.

dont dump money into something old, its never worth it.

I dissagree. If you pit the time into it, iron is iro regardless.of.age. Build it right and maintain it!

Never jack unless you have a jackstand! Just sayin

i have a 3 ton bottle jack with a built in jackstand (or a jackstand with a built in 3 ton bottle jack?)

Jack and jackstand all in one? I've aleays viewzed thos like an "all twrrain" tire, not really good in any terrain.

i disagree, i have one and it is AMAZING. i can extend the neck almost up to my frame before i even pump the jack, and don't have to worry about the jack failing as long as i let it set back down into the locked stand position. so convenient.

yea it actually works quite well... i love mine. i feel a lil safer changing tires and working under a truck while its locked.

excellent, not sure where that relates to the story, but that is a good way to get a perfectly good log chain stolen off your truck. happened to my buddy in high school
