what all will start messing up when the fuel pressure regulator goes out?

Irregular fuel pressure, sometimes raw fuel in the FPR vacuum line, running rich, gutless, etc. It seems pretty common that it won't cause the computer to throw a code. For the PITA that it is, it would be worth while to rent a fuel pressure tester and check the actual fuel pressure.
