I did about a 2" lift on my truck and got the Rancho shocks that say they are for lifted trucks.

Some people said they were soft, some said they were really stiff. I can attest that they are pretty stiff and the ride is not the best.

Does anyone make affordable shocks for a small lift that ride better than these? I don't want to spend the $$$ on Bilsteins.

I put Skyjacker m95's in my truck. Little bit pricey. I think they ride fairly well. Then again I never expect a truck to ride like a Cadillac.

I'm not expecting a Cadillac ride but right now the thing rides pretty similarly to how my old F250 did, and it had leaf springs up front. Now granted, the cranked #1 bars are probably not helping the ride much.

I've got a 3" lift on my 92 Ranger and will be needing to replace the shocks on it when I do my frame up rebuild on the thing. Wouldn't hurt to know what provides the best combo of ride and load support.
