Good Deal?

It's a nice looking truck, but with no 5 speed manual trans, and an electronic shift transfer case, i'd pass on it. In the 02/03 range they produced rangers with manual shift transfer cases...

Actually the manual transfer case is far more reliable. What do you mean you can't tow anything with a manual trans? Is that just because you are incapable of driving a manual, or you just lack the knowledge of how to drive a vehicle with a manual trans?. You can tow the same amount of weight with manual or auto. The manufacturer downgrades the towing capacity in vehicles equipped with manual transmissions due to the fact most people such as yourself are unable to drive them correctly. At about 80K you've hit the over the hill mark with a junkamatic (automatic) trans. The standard trans defines the vehicle. Both in handling and in style. Automatics are good for slow movements (wheeling). But for anything else LOL. In an automatic, the computer defines your shift points. Where as the manual trans you are in control of your shift points. You get the most out of the vehicle when equipped with a manual trans.

Manual or auto on that truck...IT IS PRETTY!!!

I like the truck a lot. =]
I would say go for it.

Good idea about the 2WD, I have it as my DD and it's amazing. =]

220,500 miles so far. =]

I test drove it a week or two ago and I liked it. The steering felt a little heavy, but nothing too bad. I didn't get a very good test drive of it, though, since the dude from the dealer was with me (nice guy, though). I need to test drive a 2wd now.
