Right now I have an opportunity to pick up a 1990 ranger for 800, he might take 700. It's a 1990 single cab, 4 cylinder 5 speed 2wd. Its painted camo and has no bed or front bumper, it runs and drives fine, that's about as much as I know as of now, does that sound like a good deal based off what i said. Also what kind f fuel mileage can be expected from that?

That would be a good deal if it runs good and getting gas mileage close to 15-18mpg. Got some pics?

I've seen better deals for less...but depends on engine mileage, frame condition, what rims/rubber are on it currently, and interior condition.

If it's a CA truck then shouldn't be rust issues...but I'd inspect it all the same...and protect it since it is already half exposed.

And yes, pics would be nice...:)

4-cyl, 2wd, sounds worthless to me.

Jeez, no box, no bumpers, trashed interior...not much going for it! Looks like a parts truck and should be priced as such.

That's a $250 truck tops.

Pass.
No mileage given.
The tow company has already started parting it out and will cost a lot to replace.

Rubber looks decent but can't tell age of tires on rims...frame looks good but can't really tell without close inspection.

As stated...no mileage so you'd have to consider that also...

I would make an offer of $400 -- IF -- low mileage...frame is good...tires are fairly new...and...you can get a clean title...other than that...it is a parts truck so knock off another $200 for dealing with the low ballers and scammers...

I think I'll walk, thanks for the help guys

It's for the best. Much as I love projects. That's worth maybe a couple hundred. Plus the frame in the rear? Painted where it can be seen, but I can see the rust on the inner frame rails. Probably just surface rust, but it looks like a half arsed job.

Maybe if the truck was complete it'd be worth about 500-600.

That and a lien sale could be open to a whole lot of legal issues. I've never done it, so not sure-- But I can only imagine possible issues with ownership transfer.
