Wanted to say thanks to all the members who provided items in the technical library. I just finished installing new spark plugs and wires, changed the oil (2nd time), changed the serpentine belt and installed a new shift bushing assembly in my Splash. I'm a little pissed about the rear differential however... No drain plug???...

I've had the truck for just over 3 months and it has renewed my faith in US vehicles!

nope, no drain plug. no big deal though. just stick a drain pan underneath and unbolt the cover. leave one bolt in at the top, but very loose. pop the pan loose and let the fluid drain. remove the last bolt, take off the pan, clean both gasket surfaces, put on a new gasket (or just RTV) and put it all back together. refill

i always use rtv and the gasket, using rtv also helps keeping the gasket in place while you mess wit hthe cover.
